Child Protection
It is this centre’s duty of care and philosophy to provide an environment that is safe for all children attending the service. The main focus of this policy is to address the prevention of and response to child protection. As early childhood workers we are placed in a position of trust to protect young children.
All staff are mandatory reporters and are legally obliged to report suspected child abuse to the helpline (133 627) without notification to the parent. We have a comprehensive child protection policy which is included in your enrolment pack. The centre has lots of information on child protection which can be found in the parent library and the parent information rack. The centre will endeavour to support families of children with specific protection needs.
Court Orders
Parents must notify the Service if there are any Court Orders affecting residency of their children and a copy is required for the Service. Without a Court Order, we cannot stop a parent collecting your child. Please talk to us if there is a sensitive issue.
